Growing up, Ryan Martz was surrounded by a constant stream of the coast's most skilled glassmakers, so it's no wonder he's now one of the most sought-after resin artists in the world. Ryan's father, Greg Martz,
founded the Waterman's Guild in 1983 to create the best glass shop in Southern California where Ryan learned his trade. "Growing up under my father, he was a perfectionist, so he guided that quality is always there
bottom line here, and it's been there since day one." Paying off his dues and working his way up, Ryan has developed his own distinctive style of resin work, each a unique painting done in fluid
pigments that recall the movement of water or fire, frozen in time. Returning for his third resin series for Carver, Ryan made these custom designs the old-fashioned way, with pigmented resin over fiberglass
for true surf/skate graphics.

30.25” FIREFLY:
a slightly shorter version of our classic Resin, this one
agile model is a bit snappier and easier to pump
for smaller riders looking for their surfskate.
