    Featured Artist: Chris Miyashiro

This graphic is inspired by travelers who connected the ancient Pacific, to recognize the wisdom and spiritual connection that was once a fully sustainable seafaring culture.
Born and raised on the south coast of O'ahu, Hawai'i. Chris is a Globe ambassador on and off his board. As a painter, filmmaker, printer, designer, surfer, diver, skateboarder and adventurer, the scope of this modern explorer's work is the elevation of Aloha, creative expression, storytelling and the exploration of truth, beauty and goodness.

    Inclined Surf/Skateboard Trucks

Globe Surf/skateboards come standard with SlantTM Magnesium Surf/skateboard Trucks. They are approximately 25% lighter than aluminum trucks, have a lower center of gravity thanks to integrated riser pads and are covered by the Slant trucks warranty.
Our boards can be pumped to generate momentum or pushed like a regular cruiser. They are skateboards after all .

    Coconut Ply

The recycled natural coconut fibers in the plywood sheets allow us to use less maple wood for a more environmentally responsible deck that leaves a smaller footprint. Coconuts are readily available, the husk requires minimal processing and comes from self-sufficient crops.

  • surf skateboard globe grip

    Punched duct tape

The intricate grip pattern was designed by Chris based on traditional Hawaiian art culture. The special process used to make this grip ensures that the edges of the grip will not peel off over time.

surf skateboard globe guide

Guide to surfing/skateboarding

This general guide can help you choose a surfboard/skateboard based on the style of performance you desire. Shorter wheelbase boards have a tighter turning arc and sharper pivot; More advanced riders will feel high performance riding a shorter wheelbase board. A board with a longer wheelbase will have a smoother turning arc; Beginner/intermediate riders will be comfortable with the smooth, extended turns typical of a longer surfboard.

There are no absolutes based on height or weight, so choose based on the style of surfing you like or whether you want to pump (rather than push) to generate more or less speed.

More than 100,000 trees planted

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of premium skateboards, we use a significant amount of wood in our production. To offset the lumber we use to build our skateboards, our goal is to engage in forestry efforts that replace far more than we consume.
